Clare Burns grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and began following her passion as a career six years ago editing web videos and political documentaries in Washington, DC. Since then she has worked as a filmmaker on Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign and filmed, directed and edited her first independent documentary.

In 2013, Clare received a gold Pollie award for directing and editing the 2012 Republican National Convention biopic of Mitt Romney, “Mitt Romney: Introduction.” The New York Times called the film, “genuinely heartwarming.” Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan said “the Romney film was beautiful and touching.”

She graduated from Boston University’s College of Communication, majoring in broadcast journalism and political science.

She is based in New York City and currently works as a full-time freelance filmmaker.
